D’fhógair an tAire Oideachais, Jan O’Sullivan inniu go gcuirfear maoiniú ar fáil do 14 scoil nua agus do 310 mórthionscadal bunscoile agus meánscoile.
Fógraíodh inniu freisin go gcuirfear deireadh le seomraí ranga réamhdhéanta de réir a chéile. Dúradh nach mbeidh a leithéid ina réiteach fadtéarmach in aon scoil faoin gclár infheistíochta caipitil nua.

Dúirt Jan O’Sullivan go bhfuil sé i gceist ag an Roinn Oideachais an €2.8 billiún a chaitheamh idir 2016 agus 2021.

Tá Foireann Deartha á cheapadh láithreach agus beidh cead pleanála á chlárú chomh luath agus is féidir. Tá sé ar intinn ag an Roinn tús a chur leis an dtógáil go luath in 2017.

Táim thar a bheith buíoch don Aire Jan O’ Sullivan, an Comhairleoir Joe Leddin, George O’ Callaghan agus an Bord Oideachais & Oiliúna Luimnigh & an Chláir, an Bord Bainistíochta faoi stiúir an Chathaoirligh an Comhairleoir Maria Byrne.
