Tréaslaíonn an Bord Bainistíochta le scoláirí uile Ghaelcholáiste Luimnigh as a gcuid díograise, díchill agus rannpháirteachas i ngach gné den scoil-bhliain. Tá an Bord Bainistíochta thar a bheith bródúil as éachtaí agus cur chuige scoláirí na scoile.

Guíonn an Bord gach rath ar phobal na scoile don Samhradh.

Ba mhaith leis an mBord Bainistíochta ardmholadh a thabahirt don bhfoireann uile i dtaobh an dul chun cinn le linn na bliana agus an raon leathan d’imeachtaí agus comórtais a chuireadh ar fáil do scoláirí chun cur le foghlaim agus forbairt scoláirí an choláiste.

Gabhadh buíochas ar leith do Chomhairle na dTuismithoirí maidir leis an Oíche ag na Madraí a bhí  ar siúl i mhí Aibreán agus an díograis a léiríonn an Comhairle chun bualadh go míosúil leis an bPríomhoide.

Gabhadh buíochas do phatrúin an choláiste, an Bord Oideachais agus Oiliúna Luimnigh agus an Chláir agus Príomh Fheidhmeannaigh, George O’ Callaghan agus a chuid foirne bainistíochta maidir leis an gcúnamh agus comhairle le linn na bliana.

Ghuigh an Bord gach rath ar scoláirí sa tríú agus sa séú bhliain in sna scrúduithe stáit.

Rinneadh comhghairdeas d’Ollamh Eugene Wall as a bheith ceaptha mar Uachtarán ar Choláiste Mhuire Gan Smál.

Ghabh an Bord buíochas do Dhiarmuid Ó Murchú, iar-phríomhoide na Modhscoile i dtaobh a thacaíocht, tiomantas agus comhairle do Ghaelcholáiste Luimnigh.

Rinneadh comhghairdeas d’Éibhear Ó Dea, an príomhoide nua-cheaptha ar an Mhodhscoil.

Aithníodh agus moladh séiplíneach Ghaelcholáiste Luimnigh, an Canón Micheál de Liostún agus a iubhaile cúig bliana fichead mar shagart.  Beidh aifreann speisialta ar siúl, 17 Bealtaine chun é seo a cheiliúradh.

Beidh an chéad chruinniú eile den Bhord Bainistíochta ar siúl ag tús mhí Mheán Fómhair 2018.

The Board of Management of Gaelcholáiste Luimnigh met on Thursday, 31 May 2018 at 5.30pm.  The following is the agreed report for the school community.

The Board praised all pupils for their enthusiasm, hard-work and achievements during the year.  The Board notes the very high number of letters of commendation which were sent to pupils

The Board is extremely proud of all its pupils and wishes the entire school community a very enjoyable Summer break.

The Bord complimented the staff for all its hard-work in developing the academic and personal development of pupils of the school and for the many achievements in 2017/2018.

Particular reference and commendation was made regarding the time teachers invest in extra-curricular activities for the benefit of the pupils.

The Board would like to thank the Limerick and Clare Education & Training Board (LCETB), Chief Executive, Mr. George O’ Callaghan and his management team for all of its guidance and support in enriching the education and development of pupils at Gaelcholáiste Luimnigh.

The Board is very grateful to the Parents of the Parents Council who meet with the Principal every month to discuss all aspects of the school’s service.

The Board praised the Council for all its work with the highly successful ‘Night at the Dogs’.

The Board wished all exam pupils in Third and Sixth year the very best in the exams.

The Board congratulated Professor Eugene Wall on his appointment as President of Mary Immaculate College, Limerick.
The Board congratulated Professor Teresa O’ Doherty on her appointment as President of Marino College, Dublin.

The Board thanked and acknowledged the support, commitment and dedication of Mr. Diarmuid Ó Murchú, former principal of the Modhscoil.

The Board congratulated Mr. Éibhear O’ Dea on his appointment as Principal of an Mhodhscoil.

The Board congratulated and praised the school chaplain, Canon Mícheál Liston on his silver jubilee.  A special tribute mass will take place on 17 June 2018.

The next Board of Management meeting will take place in September 2018.
