Technology

Each classroom is equipped with a computer with connection to the campus Wi-Fi which is available through out the majority of the school. Over head projectors are also installed in each classroom enabling teachers to use ICT with ease. Our Transition year students use i-pads in all of their subjects and this has proven an excellent resource for English. Students ae encouraged to recommend apps which they find useful and also use iBooks in place of books. Transition year students display their work on their own personal blog and each subject has a wiki where work can be uploaded for the students. Microsoft Exchange is used within the school with each student and teacher having access to their own personal account. This encourages communication between teachers and also between teachers and students. Each class group has one computer class per week and each student  possesses their own memory stick which is provided by the school. On Staff Share important information can be easily accessed including the subject plan , past examinations and information on past subject department meetings. Staff and students have access to YouTube which has proved excellent in the teaching of film studies, review of speeches etc.
